The big board. Build entire team orders or event runs on one 70" sheet. The builder snaps pieces to 0.125" margin so your cutter doesn’t clip art. It calculates linear inches and price live. Starts at $14.00. Shops running 400+ pieces a day use this to batch and save hours.
Why Print Shops Choose DTF Promo for Sublimation
You can upload art to a dozen sites. But turnaround and color hit rate decide if you make money.
Sublimation is a process where solid dye prints to paper, then turns to gas under 400°F heat and bonds with polyester. It only works on poly or poly-coated surfaces. It won’t stick to cotton.
DTF Promo prints on 44" and 70" Epson S60600s with CMYK + HDK inks. HDK is High Density Black, which gives you true black at 400°F instead of burnt brown. We run daily linearizations, so your red stays red from sheet 1 to sheet 300.
Shops pick us because we ship next business day on sheets ordered by 12 pm CT. Missed a tournament deadline before? You won’t here. We also stock 95 gsm paper that doesn’t curl in the press. Curled paper shifts and ghosts your image. Ours lays flat.
And we don’t charge for “color matching” or “file checks.” Upload a 300 DPI PNG or PDF, set RGB or CMYK, and we print what you send. You see the proof in the builder. What you approve is what ships.
What to Check Before You Buy Sublimation Transfers
Not all sheets are equal. Here’s what matters:
- Ink density. Cheap sheets look washed out because they use 60% ink limits. DTF Promo runs 85–95% for max saturation. Black should read 2.1 Dmax on a densitometer.
- Paper weight. 95–100 gsm is the sweet spot. Under 90 gsm, it waves and ghosts. Over 120 gsm, it holds too much moisture and mutes color.
- Width. 30" fits most 24" heat presses with room. 70" is for jersey rolls and wide platen presses. Don’t buy 70" if you can’t press it in one shot.
- Profile. Ask if they print RGB or CMYK. RGB gives wider gamut for photos. CMYK is better for brand Pantones. We accept both and tag your file correctly.
- Transfer yield. One liter of sub ink covers 600–700 sq ft. If your vendor’s sheets look starved, they’re cutting ink costs and you’re losing color.
But the biggest factor is your blank. Sublimation needs 65% polyester minimum. 100% poly is best. On 50/50, you’ll get a 50% washout vintage look. Tell your client that upfront.
How to Order a Sublimation Gang Sheet at DTF Promo
Simple process. No calls needed.
- Pick your width. 30" for small jobs and mixed SKUs. 70" for volume and all-over cuts.
- Upload or build. “Upload Your Design” takes a print-ready file. “Gang Sheet Builder” lets you add multiple files, size them, and add names/numbers.
- Check proof. The builder shows exact placement. Leave 0.125” between pieces so your plotter doesn’t cut into art.
- Pay and ship. Orders by 12 pm CT print same day. UPS Ground is 1–4 days. Need it faster? Choose 2-Day Air.
- Press specs. 400°F, 45–60 seconds, medium pressure, hot peel. Tape it down. Use blowout paper to protect your platen.
One sentence: If the blank isn’t polyester, don’t press it.
Press Settings That Actually Work
Sublimation is heat and time. Get it wrong and you lose color.
Poly shirts 100%: 400°F, 50 seconds, medium pressure. Remove in one motion. Any hesitation causes ghosting.
Mugs: 380°F, 180 seconds in a mug press. Full wrap needs firm pressure.
Tumblers: 365°F, 60 seconds, rotate, 60 seconds again. Use shrink sleeve for convection ovens.
Neoprene: 390°F, 45 seconds. It scorches fast.
Socks: 400°F, 45 seconds in a jig.
Always use a cover sheet. Dye migrates. It’ll ruin your next job if you don’t.
Ready to skip weeding and print full color? Upload to a Custom Sublimation Gang Sheet at DTF Promo now. 30" from $7.90, 70" from $14.00, next-day print. Press once and you’re done.
